Fee Changes effective July 1, 2003

The following fees, determined by the Chief Administrative Justice of the Trial Court pursuant to G.L. c. 262, § 4B, shall be charged in all Trial Court Departments:

Attested copy of Court Documents and Records including Docket Sheets or other papers in the possession and under the control of the Register....................................................................2.50

( plus an additional charge of one dollar per page for each page except the first)

Authenticated Copies of Probate of a Will...........................................................................$50.00

( plus an additional charge of one dollar per page for each page except the first)

Blank Summons or blank writ................................................................................................$5.00

Certified Copies of Orders, Decrees, Rulings, Judgments or Other Proceedings..............$20.00

( plus an additional charge of one dollar per page for each page except the first)

Certificate of Appointment...................................................................................................$20.00

Certificate of Divorce Absolute............................................................................................$20.00

Certificate of A Judgment of Divorce Nisi and Agreement ...............................................$20.00

( plus an additional charge of one dollar per page for each page except the first)

Exemplified copies (see Authenticated Copies)

New Citation.........................................................................................................................$15.00

Tape Cassette recordings per ninety minutes of recording.................................................$54.50

Unattested copy of Court Documents, records, docket pages or other papers in possession and under the control of the Register..............................................................................$1.00 per page

 

All copy orders and/or filings which normally generate a response back from this office must be accompanied with a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Please make checks payable to Norfolk Probate and Family Court, 35 Shawmut Road, Canton, MA 02021. If you desire to order a copy and are unable to determine the cost, simply leave the amount of the check blank and limit its value by inserting the words "not to exceed $_____"

Massachusetts General Laws require the payment of filing and other fees, by the petitioner, libelant or accountant in the Probate Courts, and that they be paid in advance.
